About Donation

The Gift of Life

Organ and tissue donation is literally the gift of life — a gift that you or your loved one gives so someone else can live a longer, healthier life.

Donation is a powerful act that has a lasting impact on the lives of so many. One simple decision – becoming a registered donor — gives hope to those in need of donated organs and tissue. A new name is added to the waiting list every ten minutes, but every newly registered donor helps lower the number of people in need of a lifesaving transplant.

The only qualification necessary to register as a donor is that you need to be 16 years old or older. Age, health and lifestyle do not limit your ability to register or donate. And registering means your family won’t have to make the decision for you.

Many organs can be donated, and thousands of lives impacted by your decision to become an organ and tissue donor.
