I am a recipient of a donated liver. I really didn’t know how sick I was until I was transplanted.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to grasp the monumental gift someone gave to me.

I ask myself everyday why me? Why am I still here? The answer comes to me when I recall what my donor gave me…..the gift of life. I’m here to make the most of this gift by using my talents and time to help others along this journey.

As a recipient we are not cured. It’s not an easy road. The battle does not end for us.

Donation is a truly tremendous gift. A gift not to be taken lightly, but to be respected and honored.

We are grateful. We appreciate the sacrifice of donors and their families.
