I am a two-time transplant recipient.

I received my first liver in 1993. My second transplant, a liver and kidney, was in November 2021.

I fought so hard to live. I waited on the transplant list for five years.

Before my second transplant, my husband passed. We spoke of organ donation a lot. He became a donor because of me. I’m told he’s helped 42 people with tissue donation.

Donation save lives. Tissue is our largest organ. People can see again with eye donations. Organs… what can I say? I wouldn’t be here with out my donor’s. Not to mention all the many, many blood transfusions I needed.
