I donated a kidney to my mom in 2017. I had always wanted to get a personalized plate, but just hadn’t gotten around to it. So when I saw the “Donate Life’ specialty license plates last month, I knew it was time! While my mom passed away in December 2020 due to pneumonia caused by COVID-19, her kidney was still going strong and being the “rock star” that it always had been.
