Douglas County Health Department Organ Donation Drive
April is National Donate Life Month! The Douglas County Health Department is teaming up with Live On Nebraska to make a difference for those waiting for a second chance at life.
Just as trees grow and support each other in a forest, organ and tissue donation connects people — donors, recipients, and their families — for generations. Every donor’s gift leaves a lasting legacy of hope and life.
Did You Know?
- Anyone who is at least 16 years old can register as a donor. There are no health or lifestyle restrictions.
- Each donor has the potential to impact 100 people through organ and tissue donation.
- There are more than 100,000 people in the United States and 400 Nebraskans waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant.
